For the second consecutive year, Simpliciti, CONTENUR and Forez Bennes Environnement have organised an Environment Convention aimed at industry professionals, whose theme this year is the “Make a Successful Transition Towards New Collection Modes. The event will take place on 4 April, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the EURONEWS facilities in Lyon.

France boasts more than 300,000 voluntary contribution collection points (containers for bottles, paper, packaging, clothing, household waste, etc.). At a time when local authorities are seeking to save costs and optimise procedures, collection at a waste collection point has been expanding rapidly supported by waste-sorting guidelines from CITEO.

Visit us on 4 April, and discover optimal, innovative and high-quality new collection solutions. What determines the success of these voluntary contribution collections in this age of digital technology and automation? How can these new collection points be integrated esthetically and ergonomically into our communities? How can we encourage sorting and increase the amounts of waste that are recycled? What solutions exist to monitor the quality of select collection? How can we improve productivity while ensuring the safety of our workers? How can this transition keep pace with changes in regulations?.

Leading experts and speakers, waste collectors, local authorities, consultants and design companies will share with you their experience and their innovation in new approaches to waste collection.

Confirmed speakers thus far are the Communauté d’agglomération de l’Ouest Rhodanien (West Rhodanien Urban Community), CITEO, Girus and Emmdesign, with, as guest of honour, an Italian city which will share with you its experience over the last 10 years of collection at waste points.

We are expecting around one hundred guests, local authorities and waste collectors, to explore the conditions for a successful transition towards new collection modes.

The one-day event will be led by Gilles Betis, founder of OrbiCité and an expert in Smart Cities.
