CONTENUR obtains the certification of the UNE-EN ISO 50001 standard in energy management systems in its factory in Madrid
In its commitment to sustainable development, CONTENUR has achieved AENOR certification as per the UNE-EN 50001 standard for its factory in Madrid.
UNE-EN ISO 50001 is the international standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), responsible for improving compliance with productivity, the rational and efficient use of energy to reduce energy costs and risks, as well as emissions of carbon and other environmental impacts.
Numerous measures have been carried out in CONTENUR’s Getafe factory throughout 2018 to reduce energy costs, such as the design and implementation of an energy management system, the establishment of energy indicators and the review and updating of parameters for operation of equipment and facilities.
As a result of these actions, the Getafe manufacturing plant has reduced electricity consumption by 1.5%, as well as fuel by 8.5% compared to 2017.
By 2019, the Mielec Manufacturing Center will be implemented and certified.
Over the coming year, new measures will be implemented to continue promoting savings in energy consumption.
