Malaga County Council has purchased 587 CONTENUR 2,200-litre Model F side-loading containers, to collect Municipal Solid Waste (MSW).
This is all the household waste whose composition or use makes it unsuitable for recycling. Such waste includes; nappies, feminine hygiene products, animal waste or cigarette ends, amongst other types.
The new containers are equipped with two CONTENUR accessories, pedal and lever, which make it safer and more hygienic for the general public when it comes to putting waste into the container.
These accessories improve accessibility to the container, especially for people confined to wheelchairs, the elderly and the disabled.
These new containers, apart from replacing the current ones, will enable the County Council to increase the number of containers in the boroughs so they can cater for citizens’ new requirements or be installed in new zones within the boroughs.
