Medellín relies on CONTENUR to continue containerisation of the city
The Mayor's Office of Medellín continues to promote the containerisation of the city and has therefore purchased more than 2700 units of our 1100 litre capacity four-wheeled bins from CONTENUR. They have been supplied in grey and green, and have been manufactured with personalisation on the body with the EMVARIAS company logo in white. In those parts of the city where it is necessary to reinforce recycling, Model DIN 50L litter bins will be installed, a versatile model, manufactured in polyethylene injection and with very easy maintenance. Delivery of the units began in mid-July and will be completed in the coming months.

On the other hand, the Parque Lleras Este, the most emblematic park in the city of Medellín (Colombia) has had two CONTENUR hydraulic underground waste collection system for a few weeks now. The installation of this equipment is part of the project "Construction, improvement and maintenance of the public space in Lleras Park", the main objective of which is to create a space "that is friendly, a park that is not only for the evenings, but also a space for fairs, leisure and restaurants during the day", according to the Mayor of Medellín, Daniel Quintero Calle.

The disposal column chosen for these two underground islands has been the Kheops model made in orange, in accordance with the corporate colours of EMVARIAS, the company in charge of the cleaning and sanitation of the Colombian city.

With these new implementations, the Medellín City Council and Emvarias EPM Group continue to promote affordable alternatives for citizens to achieve the municipal objective of reaching a 25% recycling rate for waste generated in the city.
