CONTENUR has taken part in a new project to improve waste management and public space cleanliness in Surf City 1, Surf City 2 and El Salvador's Historic Centre, through the supply and installation of waste containers and litter bins designed to strengthen the urban infrastructure in high-footfall tourist areas.
The project, delivered for the Ministry of Tourism of El Salvador (MITUR), included the supply of 752 1,100-litre containers, 350 770-litre containers and 300 OMEGA litter bins with a 50-litre capacity. In addition to supplying the equipment, CONTENUR was also responsible for the assembly and installation of the litter bins, ensuring an efficient deployment tailored to the requirements of each location.
This initiative will help improve cleanliness, organisation and the preservation of some of the country's most iconic public spaces, making it easier for residents and visitors to separate and dispose of their waste correctly at source.
The project marks a further step in the modernisation of El Salvador's urban infrastructure, introducing durable and efficient solutions that support more sustainable waste management in busy public spaces.
